There’s a technique that was discovered in WWII called group testing that can vastly increase the efficiency of testing large groups of asymptomatic individuals for silent diseases like COVID-19. It’s called group testing.
I made this screencast at the end of April. I was sure that group testing would come to the forefront by now.
It hasn’t. We are still debating how best to manage large scale testing of big groups of people.
Group testing appears to be a powerful tool in the fight to test more people efficiently. The screencast is perhaps more relevant now than ever. It’s about 11 minutes long and it describes what group testing is and why we should consider using it.
